An intercountry adoptee client has been scheduled for a naturalization interview in Los Angeles in mid-March. He has been homeless for months, though he has basic support from a sibling who lives in the area. We were earlier able to get the $710 filing fee for his naturalization case waived, and I am representing him for free as part of the Adoptees United Citizenship Clinic.
Request: $800. This is the estimated cost for my travel to be at my client’s naturalization interview in March. This includes a roundtrip flight and a two-night stay in Los Angeles. It is essential that I appear for this interview so that he is approved for US citizenship.
