Adding your attorney online through Form G-28 (Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney) allows you to review the USCIS forms that your attorney has prepared for you. It’s an essential step in the process, and here’s how to do it.
Sign in to your USCIS account using the email address you provided to your attorney. Don’t know how to set up a USCIS online account? Go here.
If you see the following page when you first sign in, don’t worry, Choose Go to myUSCIS.
Once you see the following screen after you sign in to your account, choose Enter a representative passcode.
Enter the online access code that your attorney provided to you. If your attorney did not provide you with the passcode, ask them to send it to you.
Click through and approve the next two instructional and informational pages about the G-28.
Review the information your attorney provided on the Form G-28. This will require you to scroll through the form to review it in full.

Indicate that you understand the form and wish to accept or decline the form.
If you decline the form, it will be sent back to your attorney to make any changes or corrections. Make sure you inform your attorney about those changes.
If you accept the form, you will then be asked if you want your attorney to receive all or some of your notices, including any final documents. NOTE: unless you do not have a mailing address or do not wish to receive any notices in the mail, DO NOT CHOOSE ONE OF THESE CHOICES. Leave these blank or discuss them with your attorney if you are not sure about the choices.
If you accept the form without changes, click on the checkbox for “I have read and agree to the client’s statement” and then you will be able to sign the form electronically.
Sign the form by typing your name in the box.
Submit Form G-28 for your case. You will then be directed to review any other forms the attorney has completed for you.
